A Taste for Tokyo

Fashion is all about expressing your individuality and personal taste. For me, it has nothing to do with brands, how expensive or how cheap your clothes and accessories are, but more about how you put it together and how you feel in what you're wearing. However, there are times that despite feeling super confident about what I've come up, once I'm outside, people's stares often make me think twice about what I've put on. (To think I wear pretty "regular" stuff, no Lady Gaga outfits at all!)

Normally, I really don't care but at times when I wake up at the wrong side of bed or just experiencing a weird quirk in an otherwise healthy self-esteem, a tiny voice invades my little head causing me to doubt and cower. Not sure if you've ever felt this way as well, but everytime it happens to me I always start wishing that we could live in a society where we don't need to judge another person by what they wear or how they look. That's aiming for too much too soon I know, but yeah, that would be nice.

Whenever these thoughts parade around me, I always look to Tokyo Fashion to perk me up. (<--that just sounded like a promo right there, sorry. lol. I'm not affiliated with them at all.) No, I wouldn't have the spine to wear most of what these amazing people are wearing but I love the fun and creativity they put into their fashion. Plus, how they don't give a shit about how they look to others.
